Our History |
The roots of Schmidt BioMedTech Sdn Bhd date back to 1955 when it was first formed as Schmidt Malaya – as a regional representative for the world’s leader Schmidt & Co, an organization with rich history for innovation in healthcare.
In 1969 for reasons of strategic regional strength, Schmidt Malaya split into two separate entities, namely Schmidt Scientific Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) and Schmidt Scientific Pte Ltd (Singapore).
In July 2003, Schmidt Scientific Sdn Bhd underwent a name change and Schmidt BioMedTech Sdn Bhd was born. With intent focus on further development and growth, Schmidt BioMedTech Sdn Bhd went on to streamline its core competencies into 3 independent enterprises:

| First JV set up in East Malaysia: Incorporated Specialised Equipment Sdn Bhd |
| 1990 |
| First branch office in Malaysia: Incorporated Schmidt BioMedTech, Penang Office. |
| 1996 |
| Moved from rented office at Wisma Mirama to our own premises at Wisma Tecna, Petaling Jaya |
| 1997 |
| The first distribution company to establish specialized clinical applications in Malaysia. |
| 1999 |
| The first medical equipment company to provide toll-free number for its clients. |
| 2009 |
| Formed a team to design, build and consult ultra-clean ventilation for operating theatre in accordance with British Standard and adhering International Infection Control Guidelines. |
| 2011 |
| Established our own mock-up operating theatre and intensive care unit (ICU) -Schmidt Surgical Theatre. |
| 2012 |
| The brainchild of its visionary group, Schmidt forays into hospital projects. |
